The Fossatún Country Hotel offers twelve 18,2 m2 comfortable rooms with private bathroom – 9 double rooms and 3 twin rooms. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Each room has a TV with many satellite channels, mini fridge, microwave, kettle, tea and coffee. Age limit for reservation is 20.
All rooms come with bed linen and towels. Free WI-FI and is included. Access to kitchen facilities is available, if guests wish. Parking in front of hotel and/or reception.
Waterfall View Rooms offer impressive views over the Troll Waterfalls. Standard rooms are closer to parking space.
Breakfast is included – a nice buffet at Fossatún Restaurant. Restaurant is seasonally open for dinner. In winter reservations must be made in advance.

The Sunset Cottage is a 42m2 two bedroom house. It has two bedrooms, kitchen facilities, fridge, stove and cooking equipments, a bathroom with shower and a seating area. Sunset Cottage has outdoors BBQ (not in winter) and is extremely well situated to enjoy the West Icelandic sunset in summer, spring, autumn and the northern lights in winter.

The Sunset Cottage has Kitchen facilities: fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, coffee machine & other kitchen tools. Parking beside house. Free WI-FI and is included. Rooms come with bed linen and towels.
The Sunset Cottage is only 35 meters from the service house (hot tubs) and 120 meters from the reception/restaurant. The Sunset Cottage has it name for a reason.

Beds have bedsheet and cushions. If you do not have a sleeping bag, a bedlinen package can be rented. Bedlinen should be left in the pod on departure.
Access is to good communal facilities, well prepared kitchens and sit down areas, hot tubs, outdoor BBQ (bring own charcoals), bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, House of Fun. – 2nd key – opens Kitchen houses, House of Fun, and private (Holy) shower.

All the pods are insulated and heated, which means: although they are not houses, they still are suitable for the Icelandic winter, warm and nice. However electricity is limited and not for high electricity use equipment. All pods have table, chairs, bench & a bed and mini fridge.
Fossatún Camping Pods are a sleeping bag accommodation, 50% of guests bring their own sleeping bags or bedding. If guests do not have sleeping bags, a bed linen package of: duvet, pillow, sheets and towel, can be rented. Price pr. person of bed linen package is for stay not pr. night i.e. same price of bedding for 3 nights and 1 night. 80% of pod guests stay for 2 nights or more. Price per person is 1500 ISK if ordered in advance but 2000 on arrival day.
Staying in a pod is a suitable solution for guests who search for good basic and reasonably priced accommodation with access to well equipped kitchen and sanitary facilities (yes, there is hair dryer in woman’s changing room). Nice hikes in the beautiful surrounding scenery plus a central location in the West Region of Iceland to go from on day trips in different directions, makes Fossatún an ideal destination to stay at and travel from. Standard Camping Pods. The standard pods are for 2 adults. They have a double bed (140×200 cm) and a bench. Extra person can stay in standard pod for extra charge. Camping Pod Duo is also a standard pod, but bookable for minimum of 2 nights for better price. Twin Pod Cottages, have two separate beds (80×200 cm) for two adults. They are cottage shaped with seating area terrace at the entrance. Family Camping Pods 3 have a double bed (140×200 cm) and a full size single bed 90×200 cm. Family Camping Pods 4 have a double bed (140×200 cm) and two children beds (80x 180 cm).

In service house are: bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, laundry & hot tubs. Service house is open 24/7. Entrance doors for bathrooms and changing rooms should always be unlocked.
Hot tubs are open/active from: 17 – 23 PM – Closed in extreme weather conditions.
Kitchen houses
In kitchen houses there are facilities to cook and tables in sit down areas. Use of kitchen houses is allowed from:
06 – 13 AM and 17- 23 PM
